Black Divine is inspired by the ancient Egyptian "Sacred or Divine Feminine" relating to the arts and music. It's also about the demons that keep you alive, the catharsis and expression through art and how despite the persecution that accompanies it, we are compelled to our loyalty towards it as it and only it, purges us of the poison in our souls.
It's also metaphorically written from a perspective of Peril's lifelong battle with gender dysphoria, and how music was her "Black Divine".
